Express your PRIDE by marching with us Sunday June 3rd
Let’s Kick ASS – Oregon; a 501(c) (3) non-profit public charity founded in April 2014; serving Oregon, currently with chapters in Portland and Eugene. Our activities, programs and events are created, organized and facilitated by our membership. We promote ending isolation through peer support by member organized events and other activities through volunteerism and community service. We keep you connected with resource programs and events by supporting our community and partners.
“It’s men, it’s woman, it’s straight, it’s gay, it’s children, it’s everyone, everyone who wants to come can come, because everyone has a need for that kind of support.”
Come and join us for one of our all inclusive weekly coffee/meal socials. Meet new friends and let’s plan new fun and exciting events. Check our events page to find a venue near you.
We have created an online calendar for the Long-Term Survivor community and agency partners in promoting activity-based social and workshops. We invite agencies, groups and individuals to post their own HIV-related events.
As a Let’s Kick ASS Guardian, you can help end isolation and give people a chance at life by helping to create a meaningful future for HIV/AIDS long-term survivors, those 50+ aging with HIV and to mentor the newly diagnosed.
A Guardians’ regular monthly gifts allow us to spend less time fundraising and more time offering not just personal peer-support but life support.
Your generous, tax deductible donation to Let’s Kick ASS (AIDS Survivor Syndrome) Oregon; a 501(c)3 Charity, will help enhance the lives of many long-term survivors, caregivers, and family members. You will help those that have been forgotten or neglected by empowering and enriching their lives.
Thank you! We appreciate your generosity!
People who have undetectable viral loads effectively have no risk of transmitting HIV to their sexual partners. Untransmittable.
Today, more than half of all people living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. are 50 years or older. By 2020 that number will be over 70%.
The Oregon Health Authority estimates that 6,969 people with diagnosed HIV infection were living in Oregon at the end of 2015.
Let’s Kick ASS strives to help bring to an end the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. We hope that by sharing our stories, thoughts and dreams, that it may create comfort or provide positive influences in order to comfort and give a better understanding of what others are going through. By sharing our stories we hope to encourage people to find help and to let them know that they are not alone. We maybe close to a cure but for those that are infected or affected the fight is not over.
