Senior Resource Fair: Resiliency and Aging

February 9 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm PST

On Saturday, Feb. 9, aging experts and community organizations will come together at East Portland Community Center for the second County-sponsored Senior Resource Fair. The event, featuring presentations and discussions on healthy aging and resiliency, is free and open to the public. Spanish-language interpretation services are available.

The theme for this month’s resource fair is “Resiliency and Aging.” In partnership with local community organizations, the event will cover:

– Thriving as an older adult
– Overcoming obstacles
– Emergency preparedness
– Local services and programs for older adults

The event also will feature an hour-long panel discussion at noon moderated by Commissioner Vega Pederson and featuring experts from Multnomah County Aging, Disability, & Veterans Services, Multnomah County Emergency Management, and Elders in Action. The discussion will cover resiliency, preparedness, and aging well. Lunch will be provided.
